The Jaunty 20 has been in service as a day hire boat on the Norfolk Broads since the late 1940’s. Originally constructed from wood, she has given hours of pleasure to thousands of families. Many hirers wished to purchase their own Jaunty, and so we decided to put into production a craft that had all the appeal of the original Jaunty, but utilised modern GRP build techniques, with an efficient and quiet electric power unit.
The standard Jaunty 20 comes with electric motor, twin battery banks, AC charger unit, warps, fender, anchor & canopy. The beautiful varnished interior can be complimented with teak floors and/or decks if required. Upholstery can be in PVC or upgraded to leather, or a material/pattern of your choice. The engine can be either electric or diesel. The electric is powered by twin battery banks, which will run the motor constantly for 8 hours. These batteries are guaranteed for 5 years. The diesel engine is a Nanni 2.45HE 10 hp model. Either engine will give the Jaunty 20 the same performance. The canopy is fitted as standard to enhance your enjoyment when the weather is not perfect. Other upgrades include, traditional rope fendering, traditional roper fenders, wicker chairs and the table being upgraded to teak.

As these craft are had built by hand, using traditional methods here in our workshop at Martham, we are in a unique position of being able to tailor this boat to your individual needs. We welcome customers that wish to see their craft at any stage during the build process.
