on the Norfolk Broads

The Norfolk Broads

Six rivers link the shallow lakes of the Broads and make up a total of 200km of navigable and lock-free waterways. They are the Ant, Thurne, Bure, Yare, Chet Waveney. Each of the river valleys has a distinctive feel according to their different landscapes and land uses from woodland at the upper reaches of the Bure to the meandering waters of the Waveney ideal for paddleboarding.

The Norfolk Classic race start will be from Wayford Bridge, and travel along the River Ant. Then a short distance on the River Bure, and finish on the River Thurne at Martham. The travel distance will be just over approximately the 13 mile mark.

Start times TBA at Wayford Bridge NR12 9LN. Registration on the day

A Shuttle service for boards and competitors will run from Martham. For those who wish to take own vehicle may park at Banks Boats NR12 9LN but parking Limited.

WAYFORD BRIDGE START

Class 1 12'6 Race Board Male

Class 3 14' Boards

For the short race we will be having a start from Thurne Staithe on the River Thurne which covers a distance of approx 4 miles. Start Time will be TBA with registration at NR29 3AP Shuttle service from Martham only at this start.

THURNE START

All Comers male

All Comers Female

Handicap system run on these all comer races.

Saturday eve We will be having some grub and a Band, The Runham Rumuns and Nicole Jay a female Solo Vocalist will be entertaining us all. Everyone welcome competitors will be free all others £10.00 entrance fee will be charged.

SUNDAY & MONDAY
